Dunnow’s Recompense
DUNNOW’S RECOMPENSE
To find strength and comfort in uncertainty
Is the reward for an earnest searching
Beyond the generally agreed upon
And thenceforth universally decreed

Profound words, Ben. I’ve found this to be true also.

Doesn’t suit everyone though.

Maybe it’s just about understanding it….
Hope you’re getting some spring weather there, Ben, and that you have time to get out and enjoy it. I’m still holding you and yours in my thoughts.

Actually we had snow the other day but it’s been a little warmer today. Healthwise things are up and down. I hope your own healing process is progressing. From my own experience and observation the grieving following the loss of a dear one takes about 18 to 24 months.

Might be longer when it comes to a child. It’s all still pretty raw here – sometimes back to square one.

I suppose it takes as long as it takes really and these events are never completely over but at some point one one realises one has accepted the loss and has to gone on with one’s life.

Yes, I think you’re exactly right, Ben. And eventually our grief transmutes into a sweet sadness that deepens and expands us as we move on with our lives. And love is forever.
