Spring Chorus

SPRING CHORUS

So many voices
Naturally singing true
Feeding fresh fledgling

Pledge

PLEDGE

Full of beauty
Full of wonder
As this earth is
Then so shall I also
Strive to become

Five Day Song Challenge: Day Two

Audrey Dawn – The Oldest Daughter & Red Headed Sister suggested I address myself to meeting this challenge. Two difficulties arise: I. as long time readers will know, I have already posted a number of my favourites so they aren’t eligible; 2. I am by necessity limited to tracks which are freely available on line. In retaliation I decided not to further restrain myself to sticking solely to tracks with lyrics.

2. Arthur Honegger, Pastorale d’été.

Companionship

COMPANIONSHIP

When embraced nature
Gives the lie to solitude
Rather grants solace

Time’s Up

TIME’S UP

As Spring advances
The buds open their petals
For now it is time

Migrants

MIGRANTS

Come Autumn geese form
An arrow – A reminder
“Go inward, upward”
Come Spring (If they’ve not been shot)
They shall see how far we’ve come

Solutions

I Talk to the trees

Embracement

EMBRACEMENT

Walking this landscape
I love trees effortlessly
People … Not so much
Whence is the cause – them or me?
I own up – The buck stops here

Nature II

NATURE II

Both creatures and plants
From ants to elephants
Ginormous or minute
Beauty abounds

Beauty abounds wherever
Whenever we choose
Once given due attention
– Okay sometimes patience

But always attitude, attitude
Birth, growth, blooming and death
No need of any artificial grooming
Simple appreciation, gratitude

Expectations

EXPECTATIONS

The first was interested, pleased, impressed, deeply moved as it gradually grew into an oak tree, a transformation she could never have anticipated, scarcely have believed possible.

The other was bitterly disappointed.

She had wanted a beech tree.
