The Perfect Haiku: Senryu

THE PERFECT HAIKU

If you really wish
to surpass even Basho
try not using words.

Dawn’s Promise: Senryu

DAWN’S PROMISE

The day dawns over
Our horizon and then it’s
Downhill all the way

Yellow Card

YELLOW CARD*

We cannot understand anything
While our understanding gets in the way.

Stop expecting what you’re expecting.
It’s time to give up.

But who is it that gives up?
Okay I give up.
…..
…..
Some unknown friend came by
Dropping a little yellow card
Through my letterbox today.

On one side were the words
“The words which are written
On the other side are true.”

On the other were the words
“The words which are written
On the other side are false.”
…..
…..
Stop expecting what you’re expecting.
It’s time to give up.

But who is it that gives up?
Okay I give up.

We cannot understand anything
While our understanding gets in the way.

Conundrum

CONUNDRUM

We wish for stillness
No echoes, no ripples but
Wishes are thoughts too

I Am, Therefore I’m Not

I AM, THEREFORE I’M NOT

On the other hand …
I have several fingers
Which do not agree

Who

WHO

Who knew that there is
No one there to understand
That you understand?

Reverse Engineering

REVERSE ENGINEERING

Think in paradox
As the Tao Te Ching would say
Do less … Achieve more

Mu

MU

Without attachments
Who would remain to remain
Without attachments

The Art Of Erasure

THE ART OF ERASURE

Tried to make statements
The more we perfected it
The more we said less

Points Of View

POINTS OF VIEW

To assert one should live without opinions
Is both clearly impossible and paradoxical
But to defend them or argue them to others
Is both quite pointless and often dangerous
