ponderworthy ?
“You should stop words and letters, and learn to withdraw and reflect on yourself. When you do so, your body and mind will naturally fall away, and your original Buddha nature will appear.” – Dogen.

Although there are of course alternative ways to approach courtship which are preferable for all involved. 🙂

Is it the flesh we seek or the warmth we need near it? Does touching flesh make us come alive or satiate I need for contact, no matter whose body is the offering? Is this courtship, or a need for companionship, part of what we need to make this existence bring sense and meaning to our world as we live in it? Questions of uncertainty to add to why are we here and does it matter if we know the answers? For me, it is important. It is important to make contact, if only with the inside of my mind. Maybe it will be able to make some sense of it all.

People seek mating for many different reasons, sometimes several at the same time and often without a clear notion of what or why.

It may just be for the time it is meant to be. Not forever. I have had those. They give something to your life. Good stories sometimes that develop into novels. And there are the forever people. They do exist. Rare, maybe? But real. A relationship that works b/c we work to make it keep going and [corny] growing. Really? Yes, forever is possible. It comes in all shades of mellow and loud. 😉
