Strength In Numbers

She woke up
feeling absolutely dreadful.
She googled
“I feel absolutely dreadful.”

Google replied
“About 1,500,000 results (0.31 seconds)”
Sadly however
This did not make her feel any better.

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

  1. I just googled it & got: About 1,500,000 results (0.20 seconds)
That would probably not help her feel better either.

  2. I hate when that happens. Googling symptoms or pains of any kind can be rather scary when you start to read the diagnoses on here. Talk about hypochondria …eeek!

    • I suppose there is (almost) always someone worse off than you are. Although acknowledging that doesn’t necessarily feel any better. I have known it help sometimes though …

      • On rare occasions… that usually happens only if I know the person going through something worse, if it’s on the internet, forget about it! 😉

  3. I have just found you via Betty Hayes Albright.

I love this poem! My daughter suffers from OCD and health anxiety and I can totally confirm that googling this stuff deinitely doesnt make her feel better!! She always promises she wont do it but… And I must admit I have done it myself even though I am dead against it!
, :). There is so much power in a short poem. I am still learning though,, I know nothing!
