Candle Lighter Award
Epiphany Art gave me this. Do check out his e-log.
The Candle Lighter Award is an award for a post or blog that is positive and brings light into the world. The Candle Lighter Award belongs to those who believe, who always survive the day and who never stop dreaming, who do not quit but keep trying.
There are no rules. If you wish to, simply accept it and you are done! You are also free to decline or ignore it. Recipients can pass it on to as many nominees as they wish and as often as they wish. This does not diminish the weight attached to this award. On the contrary, I reckon it places a huge but welcomed burden on the person passing on the award.
For the moment I have chosen five e-logs I feel qualify. There are also several I omit only because they already display the award.
Shine on all.

My apologies.I was mislead by your lovely gravatar. But please, please don’t change it on that account. It’s one of my favourites. 🙂 And I only know Epiphany as a (lovely) female name. I was only the other day realising (again) how much I image/imagine folk I encounter digitally on the basis of their avatar. I suppose many people do the same.

I won’t pretend it is conscious; probably more somewhere along the neurosis spectrum. :D.

I don’t recall displaying any for at least a year, probably longer… If they were there then they probably disappeared with my change of Theme some time ago.

I see the thinking behind this award (and indeed other awards) is to introduce writers and readers who might not otherwise realise one another, to their mutual benefit.

Hey Ben, I wanted to give my own Candlelighter Awards and I wanted to add the photo to my right bar… can you tell me how to add it to the right menu bar?
Thanks again so much for nominating me for this. I was so new to the blog that I felt quite humble when I saw your post.

Once you have the Award image published in your post announcing the Award, to display it in your side bar:
1. Right click the small e-log title, “Namaste Consulting I…” in the top left hand corner of the page. Select “Widgets”.
2. Look around the “Available Widgets” for the one called “Image”, and drag it across to the list of widgets under “Sidebar 1”. (You can move this up and down till you get it where you want it.)
3 Right click the picture in your post and select “Copy Image Address” then use this as the “Image URL” in your widget. You might want to enter a title or some text. Unfortunately, the width of your theme’s sidebar is too narrow to show the whole image. If you set Width at 200 the candle flickers, but the words are cut off at the end; if you set it at 180 you get all the words but lose the flicker. Your choice.
I hope this is clear. Any problems, let me know.
