Travelling (Reposted)

TRAVELLING

Here a trunk
full of souvenirs

There a wardrobe
full of costumes

A comfortable chair
to enjoy the present

A mirror
… for reflection

And an open door
with a WELCOME mat

for the future

“In the night the walls disappeared
In the day they returned”

This is room enough

for a journey

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

  1. Humm dreams are a wonderful way to travel.

    • Indeed there are those who assert that it is the *only* way. I am currently half way through composing a poem on that very question. 🙂

      • I’m pondering on a poem about dreaming. I shied away from using dreams in my poems because I felt I was spending too much time dreaming instead of living. In my younger days dream was included in most of my poems. Which unfortunately I lost. 😦

      • There are several words, words like “dream” and “freedom” that can still sound the same while changing radically in meaning as we develop along our path. We both recognise this truth, Kim, I believe.

  2. I love this journey of words. It covers all spaces. Traveling in the night, making dreams of Paris lights or Pyramids in Egypt, and when day breaks, all returns, all filled with contentment with what is. [my journey felt this way]

  3. Everything, every place, everyone exists in the NOW, that’s where all things are possible; your room is the beginning & the end of infinity…
