Wrestling With Life: Shadorma

WRESTLING WITH LIFE

Oats: two spoons
Water: half a pint
Salt: a pinch
Some sugar
A handful of sultanas
The bell rings: round one

Bareboned: Shadorma

BAREBONED

He showed her
How to dream rainbows
First he came
Then he went
Not even a fare thee well
Just a one night stand

Wall Calendar: Shadorma

WALL CALENDAR

Turn over
For another month.
Summer’s done.
Autumn’s here.
Make the most of it; winter’s
Just round the corner.

No Short Cuts: Shadorma

NO SHORT CUTS

Just one place
The dictionary
Where you’ll find
Perfection
Comes before perseverance
And perspiration

False Premise: Shadorma

FALSE PREMISE

Mountaineers
Each their own mountain
Up and up
Leave behind
All those souls down far below
And each other too

W(h)iles: Shadorma

W(H)ILES

While meanwhile
As ever they are
Preaching to
The choir
While for though they appear full
Their pews are empty

Silent Witness

SILENT WITNESS

Ancient days
Cradled some to whom
Time and space
Are but toys
Seldom speaking of this they
Walk among us yet

Simply Candles We: Shadorma

SIMPLY CANDLES WE

Each day … Love
Light shines as we shine
All is one
All is One
Our sharing is our caring
Candles in darkness

Developing World: Shadorma

DEVELOPING WORLD

Be careful
Not all advance is
In a good
Direction
Although this may not be clear
Except in hindsight

Gosh!: Shadorma

GOSH!

I feel good
Back more like the one
Still striving
To stay young
Hallowed these misty seasons
God-given haven
