Please Help Us God
PLEASE HELP US GOD
We know the drill
If not from life then TV
“I swear to tell the truth
The whole truth and nothing
But the truth so help me God”
So much of what we believe
We know is but subjectivity
Built as we grope our way
Of calcified assumptions
And received knowledges
There does indeed exist
An essential framework
With a good and a bad
That is nicely pliable so
Applicable as required
Sadly heart and mind concur
We are all too oftentimes
Cut off from our source
And so unwittingly impose
Our own distortions instead

I’m seeing this as an image, a frame with thousands of strands that have pin to pin destinations, but veer off at angles all over the show; it’s an interesting pattern, but ‘interesting’ isn’t always a good thing when it comes to the head and the heart.
Do you remember this kind of art from the seventies?
I recall making a boat one which was rather dull, but the geometric patterns were often very pretty. Almost always on black boards.
Nicely put Ben.

Yes, I do recall – especially Ian, who made quite a few of them. Sadly he is no longer with us though I still see his (ex) wife and daughter. (One of my God daughters.)
And thanks for the compliment. I also have a pin collection. (Euphemism, so I shan’t be displaying it here.) Yours is nice.

Best compliment I’ve had all year. Hahahaha. Sad Ian isn’t still around, but lovely that his art comes to mind and I can see why you would make a fine choice for a Godfather too.

Now that’s the best compliment *I*ve had all year. Not likely to be bested either as there are only a few weeks left
