LET’S DO LUNCH
Fantasies
Rewriting the scene
While others
Around them
Are busily lost in their own
Imaginations

I know lunches like these, and I love them. Inspiring me, Ben.

Then I eagerly await the fruition of your inspiration as poetry. 🙂 Meanwhile me I was exorcising the ghosts of a ghastly recent mealtime spent with my brother, his lady friend and a nonfunctional third party, a woman who attends our poetry meetings. Not such a lovable or even enjoyable lunch. Apart from this brief piece please see also ‘In Between Silences’ (https://bennaga.wordpress.com/2019/09/16/in-between-silences/) and ‘Least Said, Soonest Mended (https://bennaga.wordpress.com/2019/10/07/least-said-soonest-mended/)’. I am sure you will be able to fill in the gaps.

Thank you for sharing.
Group lunches can go two ways. Always hopeful I walk away wanting another moment like the one I had. Hopelessly encouraged yet generally find myself running from humans. Annoyed. Ha. Being an Introvert but forced into an extroverted life has its challenges.

Your fellow introvert mirrors your experiences and reactions, Audrey. I suspect poets are generally introverts who are letting off steam and lowering pressure safely – and sometimes sagely – through their writings.
