Only those who attempt the absurd…..

Love the image
Wondrous in itself
Its wonder redoubled
In its perfection
As accompaniment

“Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.”

~ M. C. Escher

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

  1. I’ve always loved Escher’s work since first encountering it and thanks to some good friends who had a car I actually got to visit an exhibition of some of his pieces “In the flesh”.

  2. I mean, this – and the art of such as Andy Goldsworthy – is rich and lovely. I love Escher, too. Art is a necessary bridge between the numinous and the mundane. I create art, myself. Not to take away from it. Still, doesn’t nature offer the profound at every turn, from leaf patterns to ocean-worn stones; from tree bark to the stars in the heavens? On this Earth Day, I bow to her grace and glory. In fact I do this every day, but still 😉
