Light And Dark: Shadorma
LIGHT AND DARK
In darkness
A light seeks us out
Throws a line
Lest we drown
Whilst most marvellous of all
‘Tis we who threw it

AWAKENING
is a light in the darkness
cast by our past selves,
a reminder to validate
that past by carrying on

Seems true timelessness
Is not just round the corner
But already here

“Teachers as mirrors, from whom to learn
To rest from function, to function from rest
Bereft in sunlight’s brightness as a candle
Of use only in the consuming
And the being brought to nought
All is dust and rust
As birds beyond the glass escape from view
Into futures where all maybes are while I
Remain in now where only maybe is”

Another uplifting poem, Ben. Only we can save ourselves…. certainty is in that light that dwells within.

I take refuge in the spirit that surround me
I take refuge in the spirit within me
I take refuge in the path I am travelling
I take refuge in my companions on the path
