Plague On Wheels

PLAGUE ON WHEELS*

It was one of those
All too frequent times
So many of the buggers
They couldn’t even move

Mesmerised
Hypnotised
Repeating
Ad nauseum

“You like
Carbon monoxide
It’s good for your health
It’s good for the planet”

“You like
Carbon monoxide
It’s good for your health
It’s good for the planet”

“You like
Carbon monoxide
It’s good for your health
It’s good for the planet”

“Would you like
To share my deadly poison?”
I dream of being asked and reply
“No, thank you all the same
But please do have my share yourself”

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

  1. Too late. I think about this every time I’m at a traffic light behind a 3/4 ton pickup with a diesel engine and a 4 inch exhaust pipe, knowing that the driver will put his foot to the floor when the light changes and I’ll be driving into a cloud of black exhaust.

  2. Alas, there seems to be no escaping… (Cough, cough….☠️)
