Here one sees water
While here is ice and here steam
One seamless lesson

The weekend has been and gone and here I am. As you too I trust. Go with the flow is a set of words strung together some way back as I recall. Thanking you for your generous wishes. 🙂
Exquisite metaphor demonstrating the mystical number three
which some would call the trinity.
(At least that’s what I see. 👁️ )

Goodness gracious, what an interesting reading of the poem. You always must be careful with Ben Naga, though. What is on the surface is often a puzzle that leads to different insights as he reflects on himself, the metaphorical you, and the universe that is and ought to be. When you discover something about what he is really saying, however, you feel like you ought to send fireworks up into the night sky.
Blessings upon you, Tom. And an e-mail – expressing profound gratitude among other things – still hovers at the top of my “To Do” list while all too many other demands nip at my heels; many of them I confess being of my own making. Oh to have several parallel existences within which to play catch-up. I never sought a gilt life but a guilt-free one would be nice.
I agree about Ben’s poetry, Thomas. I always look for the most esoteric meaning, and am still often wrong. (In this case, when I used the word “trinity” it wasn’t in the Christian sense but the ineffable metaphysical – on a quantum level. But it’s probably still off the mark. 🙂 )
I think you know I like to see poems as “machines to make choices” so there is no “real” or “final” answer”. Perhaps one “meaning” of “H2O” is that it tells (reminds?) us that everything – whether subjective or objective – is one “thing” manifesting in differing forms dependant upon “current” circumstance.
It was the “one seamless lesson” that tagged my trip into the metaphysical. 🤗🙃
Meantime let’s add (misleadingly)
with Danah’s lyrics:
I’d definitely recommend descent headphones, reasonable volume and the lyrics on a text document to one side. Joni was something special. Ani too. We’re the lucky ones.
Enjoyed that, her lyrics are sheer poetry. And another aspect/perspective. So many layers to your poem, Ben. What I see/saw, beyond the literal and metaphorical was…… 🔺 –> ⭕
See, you weren’t off the mark at all. 🙂
we are in unceasing transition
i can relate!
i’ve gone through
periods of extreme
temperature & pressures
just like those waters 🙂
Thus we (can) grow.
