Openin’ us up ‘yond closure
Hustlin’ us through ole customs
Up up up where real worlds dubside

Down down deep ‘neath undertow
Back way afore thinkness’s thingness
Overchewed hubble bubblegum

  2. Ben, I just read the article. Excellent!! I’ve been thinking the same thing myself for a long time now (especially while watching our younger generations being led, like lemmings, heading for the cliffs – the latest culprit being Pokemon-Go). I’ve been longing for the woods, the true quiet of a mountain path away from the noise (inner, outer, psychological, mental) coming at us from all directions. And then there’s the election here which terrifies me, as I hear the words of Hitler coming from the lips of one of our presidential candidates….. and on and on. I do believe we’re on the verge of some “Brave new World” scenario – and only a few people are even aware of what’s happening. Or they shrug it off. As long as they have their social networks and their gadgets to play with. We’re being taught how to NOT concentrate, think deeply, explore our own inner depths.

But I’ll stop now, as I’m preaching to the choir, right? (…sigh…) Thank you for sharing the link.

Just for a little real silence!
