Two Yuletide Puzzles

Here are a couple of brain teasers I slung together that might pass an idle moment over the festive season. I’ll post the answers after Christmas.

One two is one
One five is two
One five is three
One four is four
One five is five
One six is six
One three is seven
One seven is eight
One six is nine
One six is nought

In what circumstances is this true?

  2. Well Chile with an e is a country and the rest are items which I think made it different. I don’t really know why I choose one seven is eight I think because 1+7=8. Master guesser if I’m right. 🙂

    • Actually I made a mistake when I posted this. It was originally Afghanistan, not Afghan. As posted indefinite is also an odd one out because it is the only one with more than two syllables. My bad. 😳 Now amended.
