Just Saying

JUST SAYING

Stupidity is an involuntary lack of vision.
Of course the same is true of blindness.

We have compassion for folk who are blind
but not so much for those who are stupid.

We switch from physiological to metaphorical
and get our (metaphorical) knickers in a twist.

These stupid, irritating folk have a vision too.
But it’s wrong. – Why? – Because it isn’t ours.

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

  1. I suppose Donald Trump over here has a vision, of great fences and people being rounded up and of immigrants as vermin that crawl through crowds of white people, tearing down their majority. But, as the poem says,
These stupid, irritating folk have a vision too.
But it’s wrong. – Why? – Because it isn’t ours.
I suspect I might believe there are bad visions out there in the ethosphere somewhere.
