In A Whisper

IN A WHISPER

“Entire lives
We’ve spent,”
She breathed

“Doing something.
Not knowing
Quite why.”

And breathed
On and on
Into the silence.

  1. I love the breath intermingled with the words. I can hear it and them from this piece.

  2. ECHOING

    Completing
    Encompassing
    Full exhale

    Repeating
    Thought shadows
    Strangers

    Words
    Sounds
    All fade away
