Possessiveness: perhaps we only get into deep relationships in order to recognise the depth of our selfishness and its limitations? And develop the resolve to transcend it and find a truer meaning of “love”?

Possession comes in many forms and robs us of our peace of mind, turning our very life into a struggle and a madness. cf. My struggle. (Mein kampf.)
