Staid and straitlaced
Old Plato and Socrates
Armoured me in their logic

Received one day an e-mail
From a Russian doll, dreamy
Flirty and hardly laced at all

One by one she shed her layers
As those three superfluous
Letters just melted away

Woke to find mice elf naked
Lost in the labyrinth of Amour
Where all logic’s but a dream

  1. It’s hard to believe that people fall for that but I know they do.

  2. A favorite past time of mine was to reply to messages like that and play along, twisting the conversation into some pretty dark corners. Try it out sometime, I’m sure your email service will allow you to create a temporary email address you can use.
