  1. Truth can be a tricky customer though. When speaking truth combined with sensitivity and kindness and it still fails, it’s a sad day, indeed.

    • Friends who habitually lie never last too long with me, I’m afraid. I confess I have quite high standards for my definition of friendship.

      • I hate lying and believe I never do it myself. What is the point. I am with you on the high standards. Friendship needs to be honest and trusting. Trust is difficult when you have been betrayed. It makes Friendship even more delicate.

      • I could say “Been there, done that” but then I’m still working on the trust issue so maybe I should be saying “Been there, doing that”. I avoid lying but tend to keep certain cards to my chest.
