Gifts Of Love

GIFTS OF LOVE

Discount the tongue-flapping
All those “I love you”s
Or – for that matter –
All those “I hate you”s

For otherwhere are
(perhaps? … Who knows?)

The two greatest gifts
We can give one another
Or – for that matter –
Ourselves

Is to truly unburden ourselves
To tell each other how we really see them
And then to listen, openly and attentively
To what it is we have to say

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

  4. Difficult to speak the truth openly but if not done the dam will smash open and all will be washed away into unrecognizable debris.

I believe in openness. Hurt feelings live on the other side of closed doors and unspoken words.

Your words are genuine and moving. ❤
