Eagle Eye

EAGLE EYE

Alone now, desireless
After lengthy wanderings
Now finding great compassion
For those many folk wandering yet
Lost deep in personal painful labyrinths
Self-spun depths of relationship gone wrong
And praying their experiences and explorations
May gift them wisdom bringing them to safer haven

  1. I love the structure of this poem; reading it feels like it’s kind of running away from you, if that makes sense.

    • Yes, I get that, Nicola.

I do my best. Mostly mutely following the muse’s whimsies. 🙂

And do you know Eagle Eye Cherry’s “Desireless”? The tune is one of his father’s, and his father is a favourite of mine.

You have to go searching here, I’m afraid. It’s around 48 minutes in, the bit I want to comment with. 🙂
