I learn more each time I view it, and often come to tears in meeting such brilliance. Downloaded a copy long ago lest it disappear. So glad it touched you too, Sue, and would definitely recommend exploring what it has to offer through repeated attentive listening and viewings. The word extraordinary has been so overused as to lose much of its power but this may assist you in reclaiming its meaning.

Ethel and I went to listen to Hans Christian, the cellist, last night in Fish Creek, Wisconsin. Ah, music!

Heaven on earth. I am wrapping myself up in Carnatic percussion at present and travelling to regions only drummers know until you consent to be still and follow where they lead.

I would like the repetition. It has a way of taking you away.

Always the same and yet new and different. The playing and the skillful video match the skill of the composition. Homage. (Or “Respect” as these young folk say.)
