Above The Law Man

As electric as a taser in a uniformed hand
Reduced to casual use by habituation

As savage as institutional bigotry
Sworn to protect (but to protect what?)

As passionate as a true believer
Stone-blind in his black and white world

This is a “Three Word Wednesday” contribution.

Seed words: “Electric”, “Passionate”, “Savage”.

About Ben Naga

The Spirit that graces me with its passing has no name and stems not from thoughts and words, though it gathers them up as it flows, but from feeling.

The casual use of implements of harm alarms me. But it happens, doesn’t it?

    • Unfortunately, despite being downplayed by the “news” media. 😦 Pustules embedded deep within a far wider dysfunction of our so-called “free” “democracy”.

Fortunately, this is balanced by many acts of love, courage, compassion and kindness.

Plus, if we are alert enough then we get to choose consciously which side we bat for rather than simply following our programming.

Thanks for the visit and the comment. Peace.

  2. it’s terrible to live in a black and white world it’s better to let all the colour in.

    • Such folk are generally doubly blind; unaware of their unawareness. But then in the final end am I any different? As you know, it’s a while since I visited RWW. 😳

  3. It almost becomes like some preternatural instinct – to blindly follow orders and forget the humanity of dealing with humans…well said!

    • Thank you

The Nuremberg verdict, which adjudged the defence “I was only following orders” as inadmissible, seems to have got lost in the mists of time. Meanwhile Manning rots in prison. 😦

    • As usual, the dreaded blogspot was incapable of accepting my comment on “Look”, which would have been – and is – “An unexpected consummation”.

  4. sometimes we have to speak up and not live in a black and white world

  5. We have people in uniforms getting away with murder here. What to do when those who are supposed to stop crimes are the ones committing them?

    • Thank you for visiting and commenting. 🙂

As usual, BlogSpot (BS indeed!) was incapable of posting my comment on your own response to 3WW, which is

“The image add a nice touch.”

  9. Well stated. I agree with what you said in a comment above – there are people who are unaware of their own unawareness…. ignorant of their own ignorance…. the amoral, who were born without an inner compass. Those who just follow orders, who can’t think for themselves… alas…………
