Big Day Today
Today is our 25th Anniversary.
She made me a wonderful card.
Neither picture fully captures its splendour, sadly. But in the real world and in the daylight …
It was also she who introduced me to Laura Marling.
I did think, briefly, about a poem, but it would be beyond me, I fear, to convey the whole of what I would want to express. And besides, Calliope is nearly as insecure as I am; or is it the other way round?

Thank you, Betty. I told her you admired the card. She has always been a great artist, with a whole range of techniques and media, from fine jewellery and bead work to large projects, such as building her own work bench.

Happy Anniversary, Ben and Mrs Ben! Wow, 25 years is a l-o-o-o-n-g time – Well done. I have just done a poem for my sister and her husband who have their 40th anniversary coming up. Will post it after the ‘due date’ whenever that is – not sure, haha!

Thank you. Without a desire to show off the card (which sadly the pics don’t give full justice to) the day would have slipped by silently.

I am working on devising a procedure which will allow us to begin going backwards through the next 25 years so we can get gradually younger again. ๐
